Life cycle analysis (LCA) is a powerful and flexible analytical tool capable of identifying strengths and weaknesses along the value chain of a product or service and calculating its environmental footprint.<\/p>\n

The results of the analysis are fundamental to plan a program to optimize environmental performance, as well as having a high scientific value since they are regulated by international standards UNI EN ISO 14040 and UNI EN ISO 14044.<\/p>\n

Eco-design is a technique regulated by the European Union with Directive 2009\/125\/EC.<\/p>\n

At the basis of a sustainable economic model there is the formalization of an essential concept: the sustainability of a product or a service is possible if the design is carried out with a view to eco-compatibility.<\/p>\n

Using the LCA methodology, it is possible to develop a project that is part of a broader vision of circular economy and that guarantees environmental sustainability “from cradle to grave”.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) and Organisation Environmental Footprint (OEF) are two methodologies developed by the European Union aimed at standardizing and standardizing the application of the LCA methodology for environmental assessments\n of products and organisations.<\/p>\n

This assessment can also quantify the economic value of the environmental impacts that are produced during the life cycle.<\/p>\n

The results obtained are a very useful tool to support decisions aimed at improving the economic performance of the company.<\/p>\n
